Recipe- Taco Soup

I'm not sure if I'll continue using Wednesdays to post recipes, but I did want to share one of my favorite cold weather recipes with you. It makes a lot, is very easy and uses basic, cost friendly ingredients.

Taco Soup

1-1 1/2 pounds hamburger meat
1 package Ranch dressing powder
1 package taco seasoning
2 cans whole kernel corn
1 can pinto beans
1 can light red kidney beans
1 can dark red kidney beans
1 can black beans
1 can petite diced tomatoes

Brown hamburger meat until done. Combine all ingredients in a crockpot and cook on low for several hours, stirring occasionally. You can also cook it on top of the stove and bring to a light boil. Continue to simmer for up to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. You can drain the corn before adding it if you want a thicker soup, or you can pour the whole can, juice and all. Whatever you prefer! I haven't tried it yet, but if you aren't a big beef eater, you could try shredded chicken instead.
